Update

So far my project has been going okay. I'm working a little slower than I expected to do but I'm still enjoying my project as much as I have when I started. Things are going a bit differently than I originally planned but it is still moving along better than I expected. Some of the struggles I have been having is making time for it but once I started, it was a lot easier. I was so excited once I made my first dish and I felt such a big accomplishment. I still have a lot more to complete but I'm getting there.

Ps. Just a shout out to my friend's youtube channel because I'm in a few of their videos so go and check it out.

Crème Brûlée

A couple weeks ago, I've made crème brûlée. I've learned that it was so easy to make it although it seems like a very fancy and complex dish. I've learned so much making this dish and I hope you try to learn too! In order to make this dish, I used this recipe.

Study Trip

Hello people!

On Friday, I took a trip with my class to UC Berkley. We visited two clubs that contributes to their community. The first club that we talked to was 100 Strong, which was a female based club that helped bring confidence in 8th grade girls and push them to go into college. This helped me understand that there are people struggling to find some kind of motivation to go to college, whether it be because other's put them down, they think their not good enough, or just lack self confidence overall. This caused me to think about making others feel good about themselves. The second club that I went to was a club called Greening the Greeks which pushes others to be aware of all of the waste that the create and pushes others go green. This helped me understand how much trash comes just from the parties that go on every year.

Because of the two clubs, I want to make a difference with my project. I really hope I can inspire other's to push themselves to try something new and not care about your cooking skills.

Until next time,
Jamie

Checking In

Hi!
Its me again.

A couple weeks ago, I did the public speech that I talked about in my post before this one. I didn't really prepare what I wanted to say for the public pitch because I already knew what I wanted to do and how I was going to do it. I prepared a lot for my power point presentation because I had to get all the information down and it looked a lot better then I expected. I was kind of surprised at the outcome of the presentation and I'm excited to actually start doing my project.

Thanks for reading!

Intro

Hey Everyone~^^
I'm Jamie (aka JamJam) and I just wanted to introduce my blog to you. So... Here it goes!

I'm trying to help introduce people to different kinds of foods from different cultures. I plan to try out some recipes, try the food and I plan to talk about the food that I tried. I'm really excited for this project because I love trying new food and challenging myself. I feel like I might go through a couple obstacles because I am not a professional chef but I think I can get through those obstacles.

Before I start my project, I am going to make a public pitch. I've been doing some research to prepare for my public pitch and I plan to be using a video and a powerpoint to wow the audience. Hopefully It will go well.

Wish me luck! ^-^
